Description

The walk starts from Piazza Roma, outside Negrar church. Go round to the back of the church and follow Via Marconi uphill for about 50 yards. Turn left into Via Don Piccoli, which goes uphill and joins the Valgatara road, known as Via Colle Masua. Carry straight on uphill to Iago Dall’Ora and past the Villa Spinosa winery. From above the winery there is a fine view of Villa Spinosa with its Italian garden and vineyards. At the crossroads just after the sign for Cà Spiniella, turn left along a south-bound path. The track goes slightly downhill past ‘casa Tirelli’, a house with a stone cross, and then past a shrine on the right where you can see a fine small statue of Christ.  A few metres further on, turn left down a track through vineyards.  Keep right and continue for about 500 metres until you come to the next crossroads where you turn left. Walk down through the vines; on the way you can admire the view of the terraced vineyards to the south. The path leads down to the houses in Moron, where you will find the Agriturismo 800, the Relais La Magioca and the Al Capanno restaurant. Turn left and follow Via Moron towards Negrar. You will pass a fountain and washbasin  in Moron and also a shrine on the right. The name of the road changes to Via Sbusa; follow it to the crossroads at Crosara where you can see a wooden cross with an inscription.  Turn left and walk uphill to the washbasin at Crosara. Keep left and walk uphill past the Boni winery; the road turns into a track and passes an abandoned house with an image of the Holy Family on the façade. Then the track levels out, passes through an area with a few modern houses and becomes Via Don Mazza. At the crossroads, take the Negrar-Valgatara road again and walk down to the centre of Negrar along Via Don Piccoli.
